On our endless search for the best Prime Rib in the US we find ourselves at Shula's Steak House in Baltimore Maryland.  This Feast Of Men meeting only involved two of the four F.O.M members due to inclement weather. But I assure you that the other two members would agree, when I tell you that this was the best Prime Rib that we have had to date!
There was two sides, of Shula's the sports bar side and we were on the other side with the suit and tie people.  It was nice, the atmosphere was quiet because they had a rowdy side so people were whispering to themselves.
I have to tell you though the service was not that good to be honest and since this is mostly about the beef that is why they are the best so far.  But our waiter acted as if we didn't or couldn't afford to be there. Nevertheless we still enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. One of my friends was also present so there were three people there but he was just there that one time.
Anyway On to the Meat! The Prime Rib came out a huge lump of 50 oz's a pop. It looked bigger than we thought.  The noise level rose as the meat was handed out to each person.  Look's and amazement was all around us.  But if they only could have tasted what we were experiencing.  I ordered mine medium well which anyone will tell you that if you have steak that thick you want it to be medium or rare.  But when I cut into my meat and my knife slide right through it and then I tasted it no other Prime Rib I've had could top it.  Every bite I had was a party in my mouth.  And the party lasted until I couldn't party anymore!
The chef came out at the end and shared with us some of his story of how he became the Chef there and he also gave us a complimentary gourmet type of hash brown which was excellent.  If you have a great steak or any food for that matter, even if you only eat at that place once in your life, if the food was that good you will always remember it as the best you ever had.  Shula's Prime Rib in Baltimore Maryland was the best I've ever had!
Now Shula's was no cheap place to eat considering everything was a la carte. Our steaks alone were $80.  Add salads, sides and desert plus tip your looking at over $100 per person, and it was worth every bite!  Pleas remember we special ordered our steaks so your meal won't be that much so relax.
The next blog I post is about a restaurant that came close almost neck and neck but Shula's got them.  God bless you.
