Finally something worth
going downtown for was a thrill for me because I never had a reason
to go down there outside of doing some paperwork. I've been trying
to get to Nick's for awhile and the opportunity suddenly opened up so
the family and I took a ride. Upon arriving, the parking was hectic
since a band was playing downtown. But taking a quick lap around the
block a space opened up right in front of the restaurant, couldn't
get any better than that, my hopes were high as we walked i... Continue reading ...
Morton's Steakhouse/Charlotte
$$$$=280 for two people! This post will be a little longer. Normally I like to just tell you if the steak is worth getting or not, you know my, "GO GET IT" thing. But this has to be a little longer because the Feast of Men this year came down to being at either Morton's or Fleming's and you all know Fleming's won and we had the Feast of Men there. If you didn't read that post just do a search for it on the right. Where do I begin with Morton's? It's a nice place, they have a unique way ... Continue reading ...

Well this years FEAST OF MEN was held at the Holiday Inn, in Oneonta New York by one of our own members Paul Lawrence. He is the General Manager at this particular hotel. Why did he want to risk complete humiliation and ridicule I will never know, but we had fun. To add to the excitement and fun we added three new members, Muga Katoke a friend of Paul’s and now a friend of ours. Also sixteen year old Javaughn “The Giant” Johnson and fifteen year old Taharen “Terrible” William... Continue reading ...

LongHorn Steakhouse/Gastonia
I've been away for awhile sorry, but I went back to LorngHorn Steakhouse. I haven't been back in over a year. But this time I went I got some Prime Rib. They didn't have it on the menu before when I went. I was with the who family this time usually when I write and give you a price it's for two people. There were five of us this time, all three kids came. My wife got the Ribeye and I was tempted to do the same but since I haven't had their Prime Rib yet I got that instead. It was good not ... Old Stone SteakHouse/Belmont
I recently went to Old Stone SteakHouse in Belmont. The best part of my meal was the appetizer and that was just some boneless wings. The steak I ordered was a 14oz ribeye with it's so called "signature" butter on top was at best less than average. Not to mention this was the smallest 14oz steak I have ever had. I had a 10oz ribeye at the Hard Rock Cafe that was bigger than this. No flavor except for the butter on top, it would have been very bland without it. I didn't have time to ask ... LongHorn Steakhouse/Gastonia
Ladies and Gentlemen, our first "GO GET IT," goes to LongHorn Steakhouse in Gastonia. Most places I go to the best steak is at the smaller less expensive places. I got the Ribeye there and it was great! I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was because most of the big chains don't have good chefs it seems. But my first bite was fantastic, no need for sauce although they gave me some and was able to finish without it and was glad to do it. Longhorn is easy on the pocket and load... Continue reading ...
Bentley’s on 27th/ Charlotte
Bentley’s on 27th has a great view and the view of my Prime Rib was great until I tasted it! It wasn't horrible and I haven't had a steak that was so bad that I wanted to spit it out. But in my search for the best Prime Rib ever, I want sparks and I want whistles. I also want my money back because for the price I paid for my meal, I didn't get any of that when I tasted it. By far it was plan and needed work. Now I know you pay for the view. But if everything I order for a price of ove... Continue reading ...
