Price: $$$$ 128-170
Have you ever been to Disney World? Or have you been some place that
you still talk about to this day? A place that was so scary or fun or
entertaining that you just can't stop talking about it. Well at the
2012 Feast of Men, The Prime Rib in Philadelphia gave us one of those
evenings to remember. ATMOSPHERE We have never been to a place, so far, where the atmosphere was less than acceptable. The Prime Rib, The Civilized Steakhouse, as they go by, was a charm... Continue reading ...
Nick's STEAK and TAPHOUSE, Gastonia NC
Finally something worth
going downtown for was a thrill for me because I never had a reason
to go down there outside of doing some paperwork. I've been trying
to get to Nick's for awhile and the opportunity suddenly opened up so
the family and I took a ride. Upon arriving, the parking was hectic
since a band was playing downtown. But taking a quick lap around the
block a space opened up right in front of the restaurant, couldn't
get any better than that, my hopes were high as we walked i... Continue reading ...
Morton's Steakhouse/Charlotte
$$$$=280 for two people! This post will be a little longer. Normally I like to just tell you if the steak is worth getting or not, you know my, "GO GET IT" thing. But this has to be a little longer because the Feast of Men this year came down to being at either Morton's or Fleming's and you all know Fleming's won and we had the Feast of Men there. If you didn't read that post just do a search for it on the right. Where do I begin with Morton's? It's a nice place, they have a unique way ... Continue reading ...
Black Angus Steak House, Kissimee FL
If you're ever on vacation in Florida, taking the kids to Disney or Universal and you're in the mood for a good steak, Black Angus Steak House in Kissimee on International Drive is a good place to go. I got the prime rib a nice 12oz cut and it was very good. The au su sauce was a bit to salty but the steak was good and I wasn't expecting it. They have a 16oz cut that I did not see on the menu for 23.99 but the 12oz I got will do the steak lover just right for 19.99. Add your choice of sal... Continue reading ...

LongHorn Steakhouse/Gastonia
I've been away for awhile sorry, but I went back to LorngHorn Steakhouse. I haven't been back in over a year. But this time I went I got some Prime Rib. They didn't have it on the menu before when I went. I was with the who family this time usually when I write and give you a price it's for two people. There were five of us this time, all three kids came. My wife got the Ribeye and I was tempted to do the same but since I haven't had their Prime Rib yet I got that instead. It was good not ... Old Stone SteakHouse/Belmont
I recently went to Old Stone SteakHouse in Belmont. The best part of my meal was the appetizer and that was just some boneless wings. The steak I ordered was a 14oz ribeye with it's so called "signature" butter on top was at best less than average. Not to mention this was the smallest 14oz steak I have ever had. I had a 10oz ribeye at the Hard Rock Cafe that was bigger than this. No flavor except for the butter on top, it would have been very bland without it. I didn't have time to ask ... Ruth's Chris Steakhouse/Charlotte, Baltimore MD
I've been to Ruth's Chris Steak House in Baltimore MD and here in Charlotte and they've got their act together. Both places I ordered the Ribeye, and again everything was a la carte and can get pricey but the Ribeye was worth every penny. They don't mind giving you a man size portion even if your a little guy. I appreciate the swollen stomach when I go. Just like Flemings Restaurant I have nothing bad to say about their Ribeye. You can't go wrong with it, tender, juicy and hefty when i... The Best So Far!/Shula's Steak House, Baltimore MD, 2007
On our endless search for the best Prime Rib in the US we find ourselves at Shula's Steak House in Baltimore Maryland. This Feast Of Men meeting only involved two of the four F.O.M members due to inclement weather. But I assure you that the other two members would agree, when I tell you that this was the best Prime Rib that we have had to date! There was two sides, of Shula's the sports bar side and we were on the other side with the suit and tie people. It was nice, the atmosphere was q... Continue reading ...
Charlie Brown's Steak House, Middletown NY, 2009
The title Champ is here, is based on the FACT that I won the challenge
of eating the most out of 4 others who took part in this yearly event.
Although this is NOT an eating competition, we end up judging who has
eaten the most after we all have concede and weight the remaining
portions left on our plates. We voted on Middletown, NY for our 2009
Feast of Men event to be hosted by Eddie Loren Williams. He chose
Charlie Brown Steak House, a well known steak house with a fresh salad
bar. My overa... Continue reading ...
Surprise!/Dakota Steak House, Latham NY, 2006
The F.O.M meeting held at Dakota Steakhouse in Latham NY only involved three of the four members. We didn’t have prior reservations to this restaurant so we weren’t sure that they would be able to accommodate the F.O.M. But we took our chances and spoke to the hostess to see if they had 150 oz’s of prime rib laying around in the kitchen. To our surprise we got the last of it. One of the steaks came in two 25oz pieces. You got to get it how you can when it’s at the last moment. T... Continue reading ...
Not bad!/Charlie Brown's Steakhouse, Middletown NY, 2009
This F.O.M dinner was held at Charlie Brown's Steakhouse in Middletown NY. This was our most recent Prime Rib adventure and was our biggest cut to date! The atmosphere was laid back and was fun. No problems with anything as far as the enjoyment level goes. The dress code was nothing special, you didn't have to dress up or anything like that. That was especially good for us since we would have to unbuckle ours belts pretty soon. The service was excellent to be honest, the chef came... Continue reading ...
