I've been away for awhile sorry, but I went back to LorngHorn Steakhouse.  I haven't been back in over a year. But this time I went I got some Prime Rib.  They didn't have it on the menu before when I went.  I was with the who family this time usually when I write and give you a price it's for two people.  There were five of us this time, all three kids came. My wife got the Ribeye and I was tempted to do the same but since I haven't had their Prime Rib yet I got that instead.
It was good not great but it was good.  Considering being in the City of Gastonia I have to say GO GET IT.  The reason being is that if you're in town and don't want to go to Charlotte to eat and want a good Prime Rib then you gotta go there.
    One bad thing was that they didn't cook it to my specifications.  I ordered it medium well but it was well done.  It would have been a real good steak had they cooked it right.  Listen chefs cook the steaks the way they are asked to be cooked and you will always get a better review.  Outside of that it was okay.  Seasoned pretty good but it could have been better, especially when it's cooked the right way.  The Eye of Prime it's called if you were wondering and it was the 16oz that centered my plate.  Not very big!  And although it was well done it has potential if the chef will pay attention to what he is doing.
    Having said that, my wife got the Ribeye and she was disappointed and so was I.  It was nothing like we remembered it.  No flavor hardly at all.  Very plan, ok size for a 12oz it was bigger than mine.  But size is the only thing it had going for it.  It was cooked right but the flavor wasn't there.  Booooo!  But maybe the had an off night.   I hope so, because I gave them my vote I don't want to have to take it back.
    The best news and reason why you should go is that for $90 for 5 people including appetizer, is a good deal in my book.  Three of the meals were kids meals but for the family to enjoy a night out I thought that was pretty good.  Also if you sign up on their website for the Hospitality Clulb you get a free appetizer for joining.  Good deal!  God Bless
