My last post told you about the best Prime Rib I've ever had. But I have to say that this place almost dethroned it. The Friar's Table in Buffalo NY, was a great place to eat.
At this
Feast Of Men meeting there was a lot of people there. The four F.O.M members were there as well as other guests that were invited. As they say "The more the merrier," is a true statement because we had a good time.
The atmosphere was a laid back one as we laughed and joked with each. No problem being loud and enjoying yourself at this place. Everybody was having fun even the staff.
The service was good but let me tell you if you order a steak a certain way and you don't get it that way that is going to affect the way it tastes to you, good or bad. Worse than that, if the waiter messes up on who ordered what then your really gonna be upset. The size of steaks that we order at these events are tremendous. You don't know what you have until you get into it and by that time it's to late. That's what happened to some of us, I got the right one but some of the F.O.M members didn't and that will affect their critique of The Friar's Table. But as for mine it will be good.
My Prime Rib was absolutely great! As I mentioned before it was up there with Shula's Steak House in Baltimore. This meeting featured 65oz's of Prime Rib Steak. At the time this was our biggest steak yet. I order mine medium well and it was perfect. I have no complaints about this steak or the place. As they brought out these mammoths, as always people gazed with awe! There mouths dropped open and comments poured out. "Wow look at that," a man commented sitting close to us. I took a bite and my taste buds were singing again! At a dollar a pound ($65,) this was a good buy and it included a salad and a side. Buffalo, go to the Friar's Table you won't regret it!
