I've been to Ruth's Chris Steak House in Baltimore MD and here in Charlotte and they've got their act together. Both places I ordered the Ribeye, and again everything was a la carte and can get pricey but the Ribeye was worth every penny. They don't mind giving you a man size portion even if your a little guy. I appreciate the swollen stomach when I go. Just like Flemings Restaurant I have nothing bad to say about their Ribeye. You can't go wrong with it, tender, juicy and hefty when i... Flemings Restaurant in Charlotte had to be one of the best and average experiences I've ever had. I went to Flemings twice because they only serve Prime Rib on Sunday so I had to go back and try it. But the first time I went I got the Ribeye and this time I got the blue cheese crest topping on it. That was the first time I ever got that. This Ribeye was so tender and delicious I had to sit back and take it all in for a moment. I mean I literally put my fork down and sat back in my se... Continue reading ...
Ladies and Gentlemen, our first "GO GET IT," goes to LongHorn Steakhouse in Gastonia. Most places I go to the best steak is at the smaller less expensive places. I got the Ribeye there and it was great! I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was because most of the big chains don't have good chefs it seems. But my first bite was fantastic, no need for sauce although they gave me some and was able to finish without it and was glad to do it. Longhorn is easy on the pocket and load... Continue reading ...
Okay people, keep in mind that I want a great tasting Prime Rib or Ribeye, it comes from the same cut. Any place I mention that I don't specifically write "GO GET IT," is not going to give you the wow factor you want. I want you to have a wow factor when you eat a steak that I recommend because that's what I want. The places that I say "GO GET IT," are going to be the places that, if need be, you will save up for just to go to once a month. The Gallery's Prime Rib was pretty good and th... Continue reading ...
Bentley’s on 27th has a great view and the view of my Prime Rib was great until I tasted it! It wasn't horrible and I haven't had a steak that was so bad that I wanted to spit it out. But in my search for the best Prime Rib ever, I want sparks and I want whistles. I also want my money back because for the price I paid for my meal, I didn't get any of that when I tasted it. By far it was plan and needed work. Now I know you pay for the view. But if everything I order for a price of ove... Continue reading ...

These next few blogs I'm going to get to the point. Everybody has a different way of looking at restaurants. As far as atmosphere goes that all depends on your mood, romantic go some place quiet, rowdy, go some place where you can get loud. Then it depends on your pocket, some people can never eat at certain restaurants other just won't! Your service is up in the air because I've had good and bad experiences at expensive and budget places. It all depends on who you get and what type of m... Continue reading ...
My last post told you about the best Prime Rib I've ever had. But I have to say that this place almost dethroned it. The Friar's Table in Buffalo NY, was a great place to eat. At this Feast Of Men meeting there was a lot of people there. The four F.O.M members were there as well as other guests that were invited. As they say "The more the merrier," is a true statement because we had a good time. The atmosphere was a laid back one as we laughed and joked with each. No problem being ... Continue reading ...
On our endless search for the best Prime Rib in the US we find ourselves at Shula's Steak House in Baltimore Maryland. This Feast Of Men meeting only involved two of the four F.O.M members due to inclement weather. But I assure you that the other two members would agree, when I tell you that this was the best Prime Rib that we have had to date! There was two sides, of Shula's the sports bar side and we were on the other side with the suit and tie people. It was nice, the atmosphere was q... Continue reading ...
The title Champ is here, is based on the FACT that I won the challenge
of eating the most out of 4 others who took part in this yearly event.
Although this is NOT an eating competition, we end up judging who has
eaten the most after we all have concede and weight the remaining
portions left on our plates. We voted on Middletown, NY for our 2009
Feast of Men event to be hosted by Eddie Loren Williams. He chose
Charlie Brown Steak House, a well known steak house with a fresh salad
bar. My overa... Continue reading ...
